1. Introduction
WAStack.in ("we", "us", or "our") operates the WhatsApp Automation Stack landing page and application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personally identifiable information you may provide us through the website and our services.
This Privacy Policy applies to our website (https://wastack.in), the application (https://app.wastack.in), and the WhatsApp proxying services we provide. It explains what information may be collected, how we use this information, and under what circumstances we may disclose it to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register for a WAStack account, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, password, company name, and billing details.
WhatsApp Session Data: To connect your WhatsApp account, we generate a QR code that you scan using your device. We securely store the resulting authentication session keys (tokens) required to maintain the sync connection. We do NOT store your WhatsApp passwords or account credentials.
Message Transmission Logs: In order to provide REST APIs, webhooks, and routing, our servers process messages you send and receive. We log message metadata (timestamp, sender, receiver, message type, and status) for billing, webhook retries, and analytics. We temporarily cache message content (such as text and media paths) to facilitate routing, but we do NOT store your chat histories permanently. Cached message contents are automatically purged from our relays within 7 days.
API & Webhook Usage Data: We track API request volumes, response codes, latencies, and webhook endpoints to monitor system performance, enforce rate limits, and assist with debugging.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, and maintain our WhatsApp automation infrastructure and services.
To process transactions, manage subscriptions, and verify billing through secure third-party payment processors.
To deliver webhook notifications, execute API requests, and stream live events requested by your application.
To monitor session status, alert you of disconnections, and provide customer support.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, system abuse, or policy violations.
To improve our platform, optimize API latency, and develop new features based on aggregated usage patterns.
4. Security & Data Protection
The security of your data is of critical importance to us. All communications between your applications, our servers, and WhatsApp are encrypted using Industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
Session authentication keys obtained via the QR scan are encrypted at rest using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) before being saved in our database. API keys generated by users are cryptographically hashed.
We implement strict access controls, ensuring that only authorized system processes have access to active session keys, and no human team member has direct access to read your WhatsApp messages.
Please note that while we use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account details and API metadata for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services.
Active WhatsApp session tokens are stored until you delete the connected device/session from your dashboard or close your account.
Detailed message transmission logs and webhook payloads are kept for a maximum of 30 days to allow for debugging and retry analysis, after which they are permanently deleted from our primary logs.
If you request account deletion, we will purge all personal data, session tokens, and integration details within 14 business days, except where retention is required for legal or financial audits.
6. Sharing & Disclosure of Data
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information or WhatsApp data to third parties.
We share data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our platform, such as hosting infrastructure providers, database services, and billing gateway processors. These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to valid requests by public authorities, or to protect the safety, rights, and property of WAStack.in and our users.
7. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you directly from your dashboard configuration.
You can disconnect your WhatsApp session at any time, which immediately deletes the authentication keys from our servers and severs the proxy connection.
You may request a complete export of your account data or request full account termination by contacting us at support@wastack.in.
